Welcome to 2018....

However, due to health issues, loss of interest and other issues, I have decided that this will be my last blog post. This site will still keep on running as long as Weebly is operating. There are some links still working from my left menu of the site. Having learning how to use Weebly, telling random thoughts and telling stories all pertains to what I did with this site. It's been fun since 2011, but my time is over for this. Hopefully maybe if I did get more experience I could open up a new site with a better knowledge of web production.... but probably in a different life.

I am also retiring mostly from C&C as well as C&C modding entirely due to the lack of time and interest, but I'll still keep an eye out for any new C&C endeavors. Who knows if C&C could still be coming back out of the darkness?

One random thought, I'll say Lady Gaga will make a comeback of her career sooner or later. What happens in Vegas.... stays in Vegas.

And one last random thought, Trump will be impeached sooner or later or else the Democrats shall have their justice made.

Trump, the world, the disasters, the imminent war, war on terrorism, the outside unknown.

Everything costs money and the inflation keeps on rising. But at least through several broken promises by Trump, people are finally getting some tax relief and some aren't happy.

As for California, it's heading towards another year of drought, with possibly no relief in sight for some precipitation despite many wildfires.

That's all I could say for this year.

Well it's been several tough weeks to get this mod going to get its first release and only several days to figure out how to go from there. After its first release on Black Friday, it took me days to fix critical errors. The mod wasn't perfect, but at least it's playable. That's why it's called a demo since new missions weren't there yet. Due to my scary health situation, I had to delay, but now I am feeling better.

Now the mod is back on track, hoping to fix a lot of numerous issues, and I also hope to add in new material into the expansion mod, when given some time.

Due to concentration on something else, I may have to abandon the good stuff I used to do and try to concentrate more on the mod in the later months. Version 1.0 is still far away though to make it an official release.

While development of my C&C3 Tacitus Revolution has stalled, I was doing something else to relieve my stress. I am hoping to release it this Black Friday 2017 (you might know the date).

This month has been tough for America. Disasters from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma and now Maria. Two Carribbean islands were devastated and Puerto Rico was mostly ruined. I doubt if the US will try to bring in more funding to repair those.

While that was going on, Trump and N. Korea are still bickering words at each other. Instead of "fire and fury", there's "total destruction", "rocket man" and now "dotard Trump". You know when you are a billionaire businessman, you better be sure you know what you're doing (even saying things) or else there'll be heavy consequences, especially for a president.

Also the US budget for next year, doubt if anything would get passed soon. There's still trouble with repealing Obamacare and trying to build a wall (in which most people opposed) and lowering taxes on the rich (which I doubt it'll happen). So many problems, so little time.

While I haven't played Mass Effect Andromeda yet, I heard from a lot of reviews from players that the game was poorly written and designed. I guessed the people who developed this recent game weren't talented. It's too bad the original Bioware developers who first created the trilogy were doing another project and then having Bioware Montreal studio to do it.... in a pathetic 18-month development despite 5 years of ideas.

As for the Mass Effect Trilogy in my short review (spoilers included):

While I enjoyed all three Mass Effect games, the gameplay of ME2 was shorter than the medium playthrough of ME1. The ME3 gameplay with DLC was much longer than ME1/ME2 combined but at least ME3 did not require any manual hacking skills. ME1 was the only ME game with unlimited ammo and with little auto health regeneration.

In what was supposed to be the best game series for the Unreal Engine 3 turned out to be a sad ending in ME3. The main character made a heroic sacrifice in 3 of the 4 choice endings. Only the "destroy" ending led to the somewhat survival of the main character. It was a poorly executed "Deus Ex" style ending by Bioware. No wonder why the ending(s) was so criticized and flawed in so many ways.

The character should choose depending on his/her reputation (and having a large army size) throughout the game. There shouldn't be an AI Catalyst dialogue at all. Instead someone else (like EDI) should tell the main character to choose. The walkthrough was slow and tedious and even dialogue(s) can't be bypassed through with the spacebar.

But I bet Bioware took a page out of Deus Ex Human Revolution and add in more cutscenes in each of the four choice endings from the extended cut DLC. Even there was a YouTube clip called "How Mass Effect 3 Should Have Ended". Since the Mass Effect Trilogy does support mods, even different mod ending versions of ME3 including the "ME3 Happy Ending Mod" were released.

The ME3 ending was not what players wanted and I hope Bioware learned from those mistakes. If there's going to be a real ME4 as the sequel, that's up to Bioware to decide.

Forgive me for saying this, but I haven't really promised on the material I was going to release on the tenth anniversary of C&C3 and that was the C&C3 Tacitus Revolution expansion mod. I hit several barriers where the mod had trouble loading and playing maps, especially in a time when the mod crashed due to "out-of-memory" issues and even playing the sub-factions weren't working. If I had a fast 64-bit PC with at least 16 GB of RAM and a 4 GHZ CPU, that should do it.

While trying to resolve that situation, I was about finishing up my other project, making map levels of Super Mario Reloaded via the Mario Builder. That was released and can only be found here: ​http://mario-builder.forumotion.com/t766-super-mario-reloaded

With the tenth anniversary of C&C3 days away, I want to release the first revision of the long-developed unofficial second expansion pack to C&C3. However, due to lack of passion and time to continue modding this mod, I will release on what I have done so far. There are so many ideas continuing to add in, but the problem is the timing on how much work is being done plus running tests of the mod. Also pretty soon I will open up a Moddb page on this mod, as I promised earlier.

2016 was not a very good year. Lots of struggles, lots of grim and sad memories.
In 2017, things could become worse, but I thought of the unexpected to come by.

-- There will be two LA NFL teams, the Rams and now the Chargers. Will both of them share the new upcoming built stadium?
-- Lady Gaga will perform in Super Bowl 51! I hope for her performance comeback, maybe?
-- Donald Trump wins the election thanks to the Russian conspiracy that is responsible for the hacking exposing Clinton's troubles and helping Trump winning the rigged election. However, Trump is making people uncomfortable and now has America divided due to his inexperience in political and other policies, except for the economy. Putin's loyalness to Trump remains so as Russia to avoid WWIII with the Democratic parties.
-- The problem with North Korea, remaining terrorist networks and the unknown? It gets worse but I doubt it'll get any better.
-- How many more people will have to get hurt by the "Black Lives Matter" movement? There will never be any solution unless Uncle Sam changes the 2nd Amendment and the Civil Rights Act.

Prepare for the "mental omega" of C&C3 coming March 2017.

Well it's great to see her back in her normal form, rather than looking like a new fame monster all over again. But when it comes to her new music, it kinda feels like her great tone of voice is losing ground. Her recovery back to success is still a long way eventually, and the songs aren't that bad.

Gaga ain't Joanne but that's the title of the album, and I am eager to wait to hear the Joanne track soon. So far she has a "perfect illusion" to one song.

Also she'll be singing in Super Bowl LI halftime show. Well isn't that great?
